Hey, does anyone here play a game called RuneScape? It's a massive online gaming community by Jagex. I used to play the game, but then I stopped for a while but then just a few days ago I got started back on it. I only go off and on though, I may play for like 30min for one day, then skip one day, and do it again. I have two main accounts, my main and highest character is Jhawk40 and my second is Erak Silver. Here are the links where u can check out my stats.
Erak Silver:
Hmm.. I guess I can't display his skills. Sorry mates.

I've heard of it, but never played though. Don't really like medieval era games.

What? Medieval games are one of the best. I love playing with bows and swords and stuff.

Phail? I guess it was okay for a little while.. But then they made the houses, and if that comes around for me, I get more interested in the house than the fighting. And the houses were 100% membrs only, not worth 5 bucks a month to me.

Wasnt in Uthar Wynn1?
I used to play RuneScape as Finalhazard9, lvl past75butbelow80. I was a member, but I unsubscribed because the game got too...I dont know what word(s) Im looking for.
Skills required too much XP to raise, I was bad at making money (I never got over 800k, and to a lot of people thats "hardly anything"), and too many quests were out of my league or availability to do.

I eventually stopped playing it 'round 5th grade.
Why?
Too many 5th grade minds running amok out there, whew it's quite frightening at times.

Sigh. Nova, you stand for everything I don't like or quit. It's interesting.... I have no harsh feelings though.
I used to play runescape, and I must admit, I'm tempted to get back on every now and then and play, but I stopped playing when I realized I had been sitting at a computer, clicking on things and watching a stat lvl slowly climb. So I sold my account for $10. I was level 22, so I didn't care. I still used it after anyways.
A lot of kids in my school were really into it. I always wanted to get a membership, since I had seen people trading "DWARF RUNE CANNNONS!!!!" and all that, but I decided it wasn't worth it and I was so right.
It's an opinion I guess, but I stand against most games that leave you clicking on things that mean very little in the long run. I mean having a high woodcutting score can sound great at first, but, it's not really even that useful in the game.
So I quit, don't play, and I try not to look back.

the game where you train for weeks to get a better sword so you can train faster to get an even better sword?
actually, yes, I'm a member and I play almost every day. But I have more serious problems than that. Call it fleeing from reality, and yes, I've sought professional help. The name in runescape be Monckyman btw.

Don't go spreading that around. It's strictly forbidden by RuneScape's rules:
We have this rule for three reasons: Firstly, because we don’t want you to be able to buy your way to success in our games. If we let players start doing this it devalues our games for other players. We feel your status in real-life shouldn’t affect your ability to be successful in the game. Secondly, we cannot monitor the transactions made between players outside the game, and if players swap items for external benefits we can’t see, to us it looks like an unbalanced suspicious trade. Thirdly, often when players attempt to break this rule and sell items for real cash the items are actually stolen, so you could even end up getting in trouble for receiving stolen property. If you purchased an account you might find it suddenly returned to the original rightful owner and yourself out of pocket.
2. Isn’t it up to me what I do with my items & account?
No, the terms and conditions state that your character, account and items are, and remain, the property of Jagex.
3. I have seen an account for sale on ebay, what should I do?
Please rest assured that members of Jagex staff check all known auction sites on a daily basis to ensure that no accounts are sold via an online auctioning web site. It should be remembered that all accounts (and items) remain the property of Jagex at all times, and we will not hesitate to remove such items from our games if we have evidence that rule breaking has taken place.[/quote]

@Grev: When you play clicking on things and watching the stat lvl climb slowly, you forget the whole "You suck unless you're lvl 40 and up" thing. I hated that, it 's what compelled me to quit, since I got to lvl 45 and then I found out that members think you suck under lvl 50, generally, and everyone in it I talked to+my best friend thought I sucked b/c I was lvl 45. But it's a good measure of the amount of "life" summun has. Level 126+ means they sit there all day if they've joined within the past 2 years.

So you've stopped playing regularly because you just lost something REALLY valuable?
What is BH? I forgot.

And no, I didn't exactly stop playing, I just quit for the day. I actually have most of it back already, except the plate.

I know, my friend is addicted to the game. He will NOT play any other game. Go to the link in my first post and type in "Shadow381168". It's crazy how high his skills are. I mean, none of them are below 70. Well, actually there are only two that are below 70, but still that's insane.

I'd beg to differ. I played it for about a year and a half in middle school, on and off, not addicted, but a good bit, and got to level 102 combat with 65+ in all skills, and many 80+, and I knew several people who got to 99 in numerous skills and to 126 (before they raised the combat level cap, curse their dark souls...). It's not a terribly hard game to get high levels in even if you "have a life." You just have to learn how, where, and what times are best for training certain skills. (For instance - and I know this is going to make me sound like an uber-nerd - I would never train on anything in the Wilderness at any time after 5 P.M., as that's when all the high leveled people come out to play ).
But all in all, it is really just point click, run, rinse and repeat, but not a bad game either, just a monotonous one, like just about all MMO's are nowadays.

Oh. Maybe 2 years is a little too long... Maybe one year is more like it. But a good example of people who sit at their comp all day playing RS: When construction came out, I still played it, and I looked at the top levels. There were already people at lvl 50 or so on 4 pm EST, when it came out at 8 am EST, I think. The next day people had hit 99. And the whole 1st page was full of lvl 99s.
