Cannot view the videos at the moment. but I'm sure it's a problem of aspect ratio. We can fix that for the final version

No we use era IDs, that are not used for a known mod.

I've been playing around the map and I have to say I love it so far! The seemless transition from ground to space is just epic! I wish this could be done for the stock maps.

I do have a bug of sorts to note though: A couple of minutes into the match I try to find a fighter and while the game registers as it being there the model does not spawn in and when I jump into it it DOES spawn but under the platform. Also the animation of the proton torpedoes does not show when I fire them.


These are just niggling little things that I'm sure can be fixed no problem but I wanted to note it.

I think this is related to min/max object height. You could have the vehicle spawn placed at 400 or something but it would actually appear at the max possible height of 327.

Haven't been here in forever... but I'm back to give my praise/feedback on the Open Beta! :smile:

This is my new favorite map to start this off, and the atmosphere is awesome with the space/sky transitions! I just crank up the unit count to 8000 on Supremacy and have a blast! The Ion Cannon took me back to the old PSP days with Elite Squadron, and definitely brought back some feels. Can't wait to see magnaguards on this map as well!

On to my suggestions (Sorry if I'm a little late for this) :

- It'd be awesome if Grievous either had a blaster pistol as his secondary weapon or a electrostaff (not sure if thats possible)

- Random heroes!

- Hero Ships! ( Zam's Speeder/Anakins Jedi Starfighter for CW and the Falcon/Red Royal Guard Tie for GCW)

- Imperial Royal Guards (I would die to see even one on this map)

- Orbital Strike Turret on the Capital Ships !

Thanks again so much for working so hard on this project, you're fulfilling our dreams!

PS: Kinda unrelated, but is it possible to convert TFU maps in to SWBF2? I could imagine a TFU Jedi Temple map in the future... :wink:

I really like what you guys have so far! If I had to make a few criticisms, there is a few things that could be improved:
-Effects are very glitchy in general. Often I found that simple effects, such as lasers, explosions, and laser explosions were missing. For example, if you shot a battledroid, no effect would occur.
-The ARC Fighter has a very funny spawn. I had to jump under a platform to get to it.
-The ships inside hangars spawn very seldomly. If I spawned in the hangars, I would often have to wait 2-3 minutes for a fighter to spawn.
-Some of the textures on the actual map looked very plain and took away from the high-defness of the mod. Mainly the ground textures.
Keep up the good work el_fabrico!

Nuce job on the cato nemodia map but could u give it a sunset feel if you going for because i saw the vedio on the game play and the sky looks black. But good job!

I've noticed that it's been a while since someone had something to say about the alpha: in my experience, I've really enjoyed going MLG on Coruscant, but there's something that feels unrewarding.

Cato Neimoidia


Cato Neimoidia is the second map to this mod and has been in development for a few weeks. You might have seen some pictures of this map at moddb already. I just wanted to update you with a new video:

The map is smaller compared to Coruscant (play-wise) but offers a large city across the entire bridge. There is not floor. Instead there's endless fog. You can fly from space to ground and battle the enemy as Master Ferroda or Asajj Ventress.
The map itself is not far away from completion. Just a few game modes are still missing, some bugs need to be fixed asap and gameplay wise I have to change and alter some things.
Also I wanted to fix the lighting of the interiors first.

A month after the map is announced now it is almost done and it is completely custom and HD! Very nice, us unknowledgable fans appreciate your hard work.

Huh, I thought Coruscant was the only map that came with this Battlefront III Legacy Mod? Besides Cato Neimoidia, are there any other maps that will be incorporated into the Battlefront III Legacy Mod?
