Ill try to do the Yavin 4 map, but may not be able to start right away.

Also, we should make the sides new too. i.e. use the sides from GT Conversion pack, or, if we can get them, the Dark times mods.

If we are using the stock ones, we should have a competion to decide which skins are used. Only the map makers should enter, and they should put forward on reskin for the Riflemen of one side. The winner designes the sides of that team.

Just an idea though.

No, we are keeping the sides stock standard.

I'm starting work on mine now, and I'll add you to the list Slime!


EDIT: I forgot to mention the the map MUST have a custom load screen, and MUST also include a minimap!

Will we use new custom sides? I think it would be a good idea. I could easily do them.

EDIT: You sure you can only do one map? I have an almost finished Mygeeto map just waiting for something to happen to it.

EDIT2: I also happen to have an almost finished Jedi Temple map that I will likely get rid of soon.

Or, Retextured Tantive 4 assets for Polis Massa?

I may not be able to make the map anytime soon. I am having a huge problem redownloading the mod tools after my old laptop burned out.
The ZE doesn't work, it always says it encountered an error and needed to close. Can't think what the problem is.... So untill it is fixed, I can't help with the map....

No, the idea is to recreate them with the stock asessts from that world.

If we make our own new Sidedes, Can I design the the sides and the textures for them?
I wanted to make a map, but can not because of technicle issues. I am an avarage skiner, and have good, but not impossible ideas...

I have a name for the mod/map-pack:

Read carfully and tell me what you think...

I allready had an idea of what I wanted the map pack to be called and that was the Alternative Map Pack. I also came up with another name though, SWBF2 Reborn! , I REALLY LIKE THIS ONE! Maybe cause its mine? :lol:

For the sides, I think we should reskin one unit for each side, but the same unit from each side. (so all troopers, or all engi's get reskined by the same person), or 4 units from one side (so IMP trooper, heavy, sniper, engi by the same person and then the next person gets to do the last two)< That way is slightly confusing... Since there is like 6-7 of us, that ends up being 24-28 reskined troopers which is all we need!

And I've just had an idea... If we are reskining the sides, we might as well go all the way and make the entire side custom, so that includes weaps and vehicles. What do you guys think? This would increase the time need to complete the pack by a TONNE!!! But would make more sense out of the SWBF2 Reborn name. So what do you guys think?

And the other map I want to do is Felucia... Plus, I just figured out that some of these maps are going to be VERY hard to re-do, for instance, Tantive IV, Utapal, Jabba's Palace and the DeathStar! The slightly less challenging maps that are left over are Coruscant, Kamino and Mustafar. Then there is the "easy" maps that are left over which are, Dagobah and Naboo.

So there is still plenty to choose from, its just what difficulty of map you think you can handle!

That means this map pack is going to be gigantic. Most map packs have the same new unit in all of the maps. Each map has different units? We're talking at least 80 mb per map. Meh, I guess if there's only going to be 6-7 maps it won't be that bad though. I suppose I'll get started on my new project...

Indoor maps are going to be very difficult to make with the same props that came with the map. I'm thinking Coruscant, Musafar, Death Star, Jabba's Palace and, Tantive aren't going to be very easy :P .

WHile I can't amke it myself, I had an idea for a jaabas pallace map... remember the lego starwars map? With the four towers comming in the middle, and the three platforms beneath them? Of course it won't be using stock sides... but if anyone wants to make it and include it as a special feature...?

Yes, for the buildings I think to the Vyse Mesh pack I or Rend's Coruscant buildings.
