Go into weapons. Then create a new scope named fld, under that creat a scope named weap. Then creat the keys field_laser field_pistol. Enter their names into the boxes of your language, save, munge, don't check the localize box, and wala, you're done.

@Ace- why would you ever need to check any of the other boxes in the visual munge?

but thats exactly what I did, and it didnt work, the laser was still called field_laser and the pistol field_pistol

Make sure that you had scopes and keys. Also double check your names. These are the odf names not the msh or anything else.

i put it like this and it doesnt work

I typed names in the name box and comments box but ingame its still the odf name

Do you actually have weapon odfs named:
fld_weap_field_laser
fld_weap_field_pistol

What were you doing wrong? Were you typing in the wrong box?

my weapons odf were field_laser and field_pistol and i needed them to be fld_weap_field_laser and fld_weap_field_pistol.
