I'm making a model in XSI, and I changed the texture when i was moddeling, but the change didn't show up.. I first thought it might be something from xsi, but in 3DOC it also didn't show up, and ingame neither! The texture IS changed in GIMP, but not in XSI, 3DOC or ingame.. Anyone got an suggestion? :?

That is odd... normally, XSI immediately updates the texture on a model once it is changed.

Did you try re-applying the texture?

Yeah, no succes.. I'll just export as msh, and then import with Rep's importer.. This deletes all textures, but not the UVs. I'll save the texture as different name and reapply it and let you know!

You realize you can do all this in an Explorer in XSI don't you, no need to export and re-import the model.

EDIT:
Demo video showing how to replace one texture with another.

If you are using 1 texture try this:

In XSI explorer click on the mesh, then expand it out. Click on the material line press delete. This should turn your model grey when looked at in texture decal mode.

Now click on the mesh again so it is selected as the object, change the side menu to Render. Click on the first texture, not the one under modify, it should ask if you want to make a local copy say yes. Once that is done it should change to the noIcon texture, now browse to where the texture you want is select it your model should now be textured correctly.

This works for a one texture mesh, you can do the same thing for multiple texture clusters and thing but that is a bit more complicated.

This was entered using my memory so if I didn't get it quite right I appologise but as long as you save it as something else you can always go back to the previous version and try again.
