How do I prevent this from happening to the sky texture?

What exactly is happening that shouldn't be? The floating brain?
As for the mirroring, the stock skydome models are UV'd that way. You could model your own ones with custom UV's, though.

the stars at the top shouldn't be stretching. I will strangle them if they don't stop. And that brain is Antar. Not done yet.

Ah, yes, that's a UV problem. Happens on all stock skydomes; usually not noticable since you can never (almost) look directly up in-game. It's also partly the nature of your texture; your stars are really...wide. Look at the Polis Massa skydome; the stars there don't have as much flare.
