Tatooine buildings WIP

For who don't know me yet, I'm the
other dutch guy.
*ahem*
Tatooine building pack
I had been reading Gametoast fora for a while and I decided to try and model some stuff myself. I kinda like Tatooine, but I personally think the stock buildings are somewhat limited, so I wanted to model some new ones! I'll be finishing the current buildings in Sketchup, and I will then export them to .msh.
I think I'm at 80% or so, since pretty much all of the work left is converting...
Pics (note, these are my first models ever, don't expect too much. I still think they'd make a good addition though):
A big industrial tower:
A small house #1:
A landing pad (underground):
The entrance to that pad (not completely done):
A house #2 (will do some touch ups to lower poly count):
A house #3:
Small bazaar:
The textures that are used are edited Stock ones, or taken and edited from the Naboo Prototype source pack (by Pandemic, made avaiable by Teancum)

Looks nice, although could you make the images smaller next time? I don't know about bandwith, but it's really annoying to scroll horizontally to see parts of an image.

Okay, I'll do that next time. You see, normally it's much easier to put screenshots in one Paint image, since you won't have to re-save a lot, and you have to upload only one file. But will do next time!

For the bazaar, I'd leave out the triangles and add those in as cloth instead.

Awesome buildings, mswf. I'm sure they'll be very useful and not just for Tatooine maps.

Looks awesome. The bazaar looks rather elaborate. As for the sniper building I'd remove the wierd stumps protruding from the side. They really serve little purpose and may cause higher levels of lag.

That's what I'm planning to do, or maybe replace them with stumps that have 5 or 6 sides instead of 12.
Some of the other models also have these details that I'll replace with less detailed one. (youknowwhatimeanbythat?)

Nice Models!

Finally some new Tatooine buildings.
I guess they could fit into my Ryloth map very well.

I have exported one building according to the tutorials. I can't test it out, so would someone please try this:
http://files.filefront.com/Bazarrar/;13 ... einfo.html
out in a map (possibly also post ingame screens)

These are quite good mswf, especially considering you used Sketchup

My only criticism is the industrial tower roof resembles a medieval castle, it kind of ruins the effect. Just stylize it a bit. Otherwise, it's the best of your lot. I'll happily test them momentarily for you.

Really? Thank you!

Could you please test the file in the above link?

I opened the rar but I'm not quite sure what you did, but it looks like you messed up the export somewhere along the line. The tat_marketplace.msh is only 2KB so you did something wrong there. Make sure you followed rep's Meshex export instructions from XSI before you convert it to msh.
http://www.gametoast.com/forums/viewtop ... 64&t=15082
Also, you're textures are in .jpg. They have to be in tga for it to work ingame. I'll try and see if I can get it exported correctly for you.

Thanks for the advice, I'll recheck everything (again...)
Could you point me to a good .jpg. to .tga converter? I've been trying to find one for a long time.
