Yeah it's hard to try and respect someone like him. Still, he was human, so I say let him rest in peace.

Every human has a soul no matter what the deeds he has done. May he rest in peace.

R.I.P to my mom. Who died of cancer in 2007. Spent her whole life helping other people. Worked as a doctor and helped victims of the September 11th Pentagon attacks. Found this topic today and it feels good to share my feelings.

Thank you THEWULFMAN.
One thing that's always really bothered me about society is that when someones aunt or uncle or mother dies they get a paragraph on the 46th page of the newspaper yet when Justin Bieber get's a new haircut he get's a full 12 paragraph essay on page one. Yet another example of how seriously screwed up our society is today.

While I agree with you, I understand why that would be like that. Newspapers
are entertainment, which is not supposed to depress us.

RIP My grandmother. She'd been suffering with dementia or something similar, very unaware of her surroundings. I'm sad to see her go, but she's in a better place now.

RIP
Dennis Ritchie. He died just a week after Steve Jobs did, but few people ever knew about it thanks to the media only caring about Jobs(I have nothing against Steve, I'm mad at the media, not him). Dennis did a couple important things. Like create
C and (along with Ken Thompson)
UNIX. You know, basically without him we'd have
no Windows, programs, and text based computer languages(including Lua, so no easy modding SWBF2).
Edit: fixed link errors.

North Korean Leader Kim Jong Il, 69, Has Died

NY Times wrote:SEOUL, South Korea (AP) — Kim Jong Il, North Korea's mercurial and enigmatic leader, has died. He was 69.
Kim's death was announced Monday by state television from the North Korean capital, Pyongyang.
Kim is believed to have suffered a stroke in 2008 but appeared relatively vigorous in photos and video from recent trips to China and Russia and in numerous trips around the country carefully documented by state media.
The leader, reputed to have had a taste for cigars, cognac and gourmet cuisine, was believed to have had diabetes and heart disease.
The news came as North Korea prepared for a hereditary succession. Kim Jong Il inherited power after his father, revered North Korean founder Kim Il Sung, died in 1994.
In September 2010, Kim Jong Il unveiled his third son, the twenty-something Kim Jong Un, as his successor, putting him in high-ranking posts.
Although it is sad that a fellow human being has passed, but I think I speak for most of the rest of the world when saying that this man was a complete, terrible monster.
Thoughts?
(I don't believe this will start any sort of flame war since, well, North Koreans do not exist on GT due to their lack of Internet, and also because pretty much the entirety of the Earth is against the country.)
(I didn't know Kim Jong was Il... HA SO FUNNY LAUGH)
