Depends on your type of gaming. Me, I love good shooters, realistic racing games, downloadable content, and Rock Band. So it's a 360 for me.

It depends.

The Wii really only shines with the Virtual Console/Wiiware and its exclusives, due to 3rd Parties not being used to motion devices when programming.

The 360 has great graphics and a lot of games in its library, being backwards compatible and 3-4 years old already. Its only downsides are the famous Red Ring, and the online can cost $50 if you want to maximize its features.

I would say Wii if you're in a money crisis or like getting a chance to move while you play. Dunno much about 360, though.

Excellent points.

This I greatly disagree with. I've only ever met one person who has gotten the RRoD and that was after playing it for over 12 hours with no break. Don't keep it crammed in a corner and you shouldn't have any problems. Also, I've used the Wii's online and it doesn't come close to Xbox Live. It's well worth the $50 a year.

I've known six, and Thire had a temporary one.

Even worse, Micro$oft hasn't done anything to fix it when making it, they just allow you to send it in to fix it. >.>

Red Ring of Death. The thing you don't want to happen to your system. It means your system is prettty much dead, and you need to send it in to (to microsoft) get it fixed.
Ways to get it: (these are to my knowledge, just so you know)
Leave it on too long
Sit on it (no joke, friend broke his brother's when his ffriend sat on it)
Turn it on and off repeatedly (same friend, same friend's brother, same friend's ffriend)
Power Surges
Getting it wet
Dropping it at a height it won't bust open, and won't still work

Those are all I know.

As Tean' said, it really depends what you want to get out of it. If you want the newest stuff (usually) technologically, go for the 360. If you want more... how do I say... "quality"? games (By this I mean not just a ton of random shooters and such, as 'most' of the Wii's games are of good quality and storyline) get the wii. I'll just put up the pros and cons I can think of at the moment.

Wii:
Pros
Small, but quality library of games
Motion control
Backwards compatible with gamecube
Virtual Console and WiiWare
Some online games
Cheap!

Cons
Not as good of graphics
Can't always handle the newest engines and such
Small library of games
Occasionally has been known to have something like the red ring of death (not quite as severe, just I've known a few people [and me] who's wiis have frozen and have to be unplugged to restart): but I wouldn't let this affect your choice that much, as it's really rare and not a huge deal.

360
Pros
Amazing Graphics
Good, large selection of games
Backwards compatible with a lot of xbox games
Live
Almost always has the newest engines for games

Cons
Cost of 360 itself and games (I think it's still about 300. If I'm wrong, let me know)
Red Ring of Death (I wouldn't let this affect your decision a lot, as it's... somewhat rare and, while a major inconvenience, shouldn't really affect your decision)
Cost of live (I really shouldn't mention this one, because it's cheaper than playing RuneScape or World of Warcraft per year... and a lot more fun)

That's all I can think of. I personally have a Wii, mostly because of cost, and because me padres don't like violent games, or... anything first person... (don't worry... padres means parents, not dads :P). Hope I was helpful...

IMHO the only good thing about the Wii is the innovative controls. The hardware just isn't up to par with the other systems (I feel bad about saying next-gen, it's current gen) or, say, a toaster. srsly. It's a good party system/favor, but that's about it.

Re-fixed.

Always start with Halo if you want to be able to get M games, it's probably the least "bad" of the M games.

Nah, the least bad is GTA4. LOLzorz, jk. Nah, if you can't get shooters, I'd recommend the Wii. It's internet browser is pretty good, it's Opera, so whenever a new version of Adobe Flash Player comes out, you can upgrade it. Games don't have the best graphics, but I think TFU, WiiFit, and the newer Wii sports game coming out this summer are/seem like musts.

Wii is more of a "party" console with some singleplayer games crammed in.

I would recommend the 360, I have both consoles and I have a lot more fun with the 360 (Even without Xbox Live). It really depends on your style of gaming though.

Think Ima go with the Wii. Reasons:
1. The vast majority of the shooters on the Xbox 360 you can buy for PC anyways.
2. The shooters for the X360 are shooters my parents would not even let me play anyways.
3. The Wii still has ground breaking graphics even if not as good as X360.
4. The Wii still has fun games (i.e. Brawl, TFU ect..) which are just as much fun and I can play.
Over all I think it most logical for someone like me to with Wii.

I bought a 360 about a week ago and I'm really, really happy with it. Much better than my buddy's Wii, although it's pretty cool too.

Incidentally -- if anyone's on Xbox Live, add the gamertag CombatantSteve to your list of friends.
