Broken power converter for 2 small halogen lights

I noticed that some people here knew quite a bit about electronics, so I figured that this was a good place for me to ask the following question, because I don't really know where to start looking.

I have a lightstand for my piano sheets, but it broke recently. I went to my local electronics shop and they did some tests on it and figured that the power converter was broken. However, they didn't want to repair it.
The manufacturer is German and I couldn't find any product/parts catalogue of them online.
I was wondering whether or not I could try and fix it myself. I only know how electronic wires work and should be handled and that there is a difference between volts and amps, but that's about it. I really need some help on figuring out what converter I should buy.
On the converter, it says
PRI: 230V~50Hz 0.32A
SEC: 12V~20-60W
On the back, it says
Filament Lamp: 12V 60W
MAX.2M
And a drawing that has two solid squares, both connected seperately to a circle with a cross in it.
(I only remember that that circle represents a light source, right)
The converters connection to the rest of the lamp is also unfamiliar, to me:

So, does anyone know whether or not it is possible for me to buy a replacement converter and hook it up?

It would be nice to know the manufacturer's name and model number if possible (usually printed somewhere on it), thanks. :)
