How can I make a new hanger shield (.msh, .option, .odf) using a stock .tga, that is a circlewith radius 17, with the scroll from the outside going in?

Thanks.
Ok, so can this be used if it is exported through mshex, or not?

i doubt that works because you need to fill in the data0 and data 1 fields in thew pandemictool to get the scrollflag working

I assumed you used the Pandemic Tools since you didn't say you were using MshEx.
The example scene I posted was
export ready(with Pandemic Tools) with double sided transparency enabled and the scroll flag(3) setup with just Data0(V or vertical) directional scrolling(top to bottom).
It is just an example and you will have to edit it or make your own anyway to get exactly what you want.
I don't see why you couldn't export it with MshEx as long as you make the scene meet the requirements for it.
Export it with the geometry child of a null
Hex the new msh for transparency - 5th place over from ATRB
Hex in the scroll flag - 6th place over from ATRB
Hex in the scroll speed for Data0 - 7th place over from ATRB
OR
download and install the
XSI Foundation 5.11 trial then install the Pandemic Tools and just export the scene like normal.

Ok, I will try hex editing it.
Does it need a msh.option?

No, but I don't know what your intentions are for this hangar shield either, set it up however you need to for your situation.
When in doubt have a look at the best examples we have which came with the BF2_modtools assets.
