move this if i posted in the wrong thread but because i dont like GIMP (i dont understand half of it). Could i edit a skin with the Paint program included in most windows operating systems, and how would i be able to open the skin if i could. Thanks!

GIMP is not that hard to manipulate. Just follow a tutorial on skinning using gimp. here is mine :

You can edit a skin with paint, but you have to convert to bitmap/jpeg, edit, convert back to targa.

? Msh files are the model. You can only skin tga files. To edit the msh you need XSI.

ugh this is what i hate since i cant find a XSI programbut which is it the game looks at when u play it

Both. The skin or tga file is the color of the character, but the msh is the actual shape of it.

(OT: the thing is im getting sick of dl stuff cause when i dl something from filefront or here (as in some of the non filefront sites u guys give links to i ended up fragging my comp sbut) ill grab this and then what would i do

Just to let you know using paint wont get you very good skins

and another good program (just for images) is WSQ Viewer it can convert tga files

well here is the thing i suck at GIMP i seriously cant tell u how bad i am ill find a link for what i mean hold on
