In less than one week, Minecraft 360 has sold one million units.

The next time you see Notch his hat will be constructed entirely of $100 bills.

Been playin it with the gf it's fun it's way more social and accessible on Xbox 360 so I think they deserve every penny. It's got a few issues but they are easy to overlook

Word on the street says the PC team is working with the Xbox team to make the PC version just as accessible, just as the Xbox team is working with the PC team to update the Xbox version to the current PC version.

I'd really like to get it on the 360, but games like Minecraft are total time sinks, and I just don't have the free time to dump 2-4 sessions in. I'm not saying the game makes you play that long, more that you can't pull yourself away. Right now I have to stick to the shorter-yet-more-fun (in my opinion) gameplay of Trials Evolution.

I'll definitely get it in the future, though. Probably after the first free update.

we had friends over drinking wine and just played about 30 minutes , enough to see a few zombies, make a house and create the basic tools , furnaces and pile of weapons , torches etc.. it was fun I could see spending hours but unless you have peeps playing with you I think ill max out at a few hours a week. your gal will probably enjoy it mine just like to cut trees and build houses, learning the interface took her a sec but in shorts its an easy $20 purchase for the few times we will co op it.

12w21a is now out.
- Removed graphs in F3 mode
- Allowed minecarts on rails to be accelerated slighty while sitting in them
- Added pyramids in deserts (with hidden treasure chests and TNT traps!)
- You can now add a reason when banning people, via
- Changed slime spawning and splitting some
- Added layered snow block to Creative mode item selection screen
- Dispensers now dispense and pick up water and lava using buckets
- Added desert-specific villages
- A few minor terrain changes
- Added a /seed command for showing the map seed
- Added sandstone stairs
- Made the stars slightly smaller and slightly brighter
- Added enderchest (stores contents across dimensions and other enderchests, preserving contents even if all enderchests are destroyed)
- Re-added original golden apple (gives Regeneration IV, Resistance and Fire resistance effects)
- Existing golden apples remain unchanged, except that they lose their glow
- Added trading with villagers (emerald is used as currency, it is currently red but will be green in next snapshot)
- Added emerald ore (currenlty red, will be green soon)
- Changed gravel texture
- Improved boats (they now run straight through lillypads, breaking and sometimes dropping the lilypad instead of breaking the boat)
- Made empty buckets stackable to 16
Gravel has been changed as well:

Desert Villages are pretty cool. I don't remember what my seed was, but basically it's a regular village made of sandstone blocks.

Tested out the Enderchest. It's basically like the PC from Pokemon, each chest links to the same storage menu.

Also, if you're trying to trade with villagers and their item isn't showing up in the grab box, once the required amount is in your place box take it out and put it back in. It should work.

Edit: Don't load older worlds, corruption will happen.

So they've been making changes to how well the game performs.

I like it.

I couldn't run it on normal distance before because I would place two blocks at once all the time. Now I have celestial objects.

You can probably up the distance a bit, but if something like excessive snow or redstone was causing problems, they still will to an extent. I still have to avoid snow biomes.
