KotOR skinning?

I seem to recall a while back when I did KotOR 1 modding that you could reskin weapons and such, but I don't recall being able to find playermodel skins and things like that. I can't seem to locate anything that says how to get to playermodel skins, or anything that lets you access the skins period, although i seem to recall something called "kotortool" I can't find it. Can somebody point me in the right direction?

EDIT: A quick search found me the Kotor tool, but I can't seem to find a tut on how to get the playermode skins.

EDIT2: I've sucessfully extracted the .mdl, but i cannot find a .tga anywhere.

You'll need to convert tpc files using the tool, expand ERFs in the tree and you should see TexturePacks, then look for whatever your <modelname>-textures.txt calls for and extract it.

I'm looking for the HK-47 texture, but none of those categories have it under "H".

EDIT: Name of the .mdl was p_hk47, so looking under "P" now.

EDIT2: found it under "P", thanks for the help Ace!

EDIT3: What the heck!? Gogie's HK-47 texture is ported from KotOR!

All party members are under P, if I recall correctly, P for Party or Player, most non party human/alien models are under NPC_wazzizname

BTW, you don't need the .mdl if your just reskinning it.

DRK knows that, he's just saying: I was searching for the textures, but I only came accross the models.

Yeah, I found that out, the readme for the KOTORtool though says that if you extracted the .mdl, all the textures it uses would come with.
