Here's the answer -- it's what I found out that the developers did. Raise the terrain, then place the hubs. It sucks cuz your terrain won't be the same, but here's the trick. Browse to your [mapname].TER file, right click, and set it to read only. Now when you change things in ZeroEdit, your terrain won't save that way. When you save, you'll get an error, but it will work fine. I've done it tons of times.

So if you change it to ReadOnly and change the map, the hubs will stay there but the map won't change, correct?

Changing the .ter file to read only means that your terrain won't change when you save. If you move an object, that
will change however.
