Spira: Besaid - RPG Mode WIP

Anyone that's played Final Fantasy 10 should be familiar with Besaid - It's the first island you visit in Spira, and home to some of the main characters. Besaid is a small, tropical island from where Tidus & Co.'s journey begins.
I'd like to bring that particular setting to life in Battlefront 2, as not only is Final Fantasy 10 one of my favorite games, but because it lends itself so well to an RPG. Whether or not you've played any Final Fantasy, this map should be enjoyable if you like RPGs at all.
Spira: Besaid is going to be an RPG map (although it will probably include a SW-themed conquest):
-It'll feature a main storyline (which will not be completely the same as its role in FFX) as well as sidequests.
-You'll be able to fight a number of enemies and bosses from Final Fantasy - some of whom I'll tell you about, and some of whom will be rather secret.
-You'll level up - just like an RPG. This means as you kill enemies and complete objectives, you'll recieve experience points to gain levels. As your levels increase, you'll grow stronger and learn new attacks.
-You'll start as Tidus, the protagonist of Final Fantasy 10. However, as you play through the game, you'll add to your party, giving you new characters with new strengths and weaknesses.

Status:
Right now RPG mode is still in its infancy, but the entire map has been laid out, all the characters and their moves have been created, and I've completed (more or less) the leveling-up system.

My god! FFX in SW mode! I've never played RPG mod maps, I know one has been created but never bothered to download it as I hated RPG's but this is an exception! It's FFX!

Those pictures look wonderful, makes me hope my new computer will be able to play at those settings.
Never played FFX, and don't know squat about it eather, but I do like RPG's.
I'm glad someone found a use for those cliff models so soon too.

I've never played any Final Fantasy games, but I have to say this looks absolutely stunning, and the RPG mode sounds amazing as well.

@ Egg_Guts & Train (& any others not familiar with Final Fantasy): Don't worry too much about being "out of the loop" because you've never played Final Fantasy. This map will be a standalone RPG, that is to say that with no prior knowledge it'll still be playable (and enjoyable) for anyone who's interested by these sort of things.
@ XxDepredationxX: Thanks! Glad to hear the topic's getting you interested. I might suggest that you do give archer01's OFM (the other RPG map) a try, though. It was a pretty fun play, albeit a simple RPG. It was that map that helped me realize that some things were possible (leveling up, etc.)
@ The rest of the postive responses: Thanks! Glad to hear it's looking interesting; if there's something you think might make this more fun (consider feasibility, though, lol), let me know.

A quick update: I've been really busy this past week getting ready for all our school's homecoming festivities, so I haven't had a lot of time to work (plus grad school applications are a constant pain). However, I've gotten the first couple of objectives scripted in. I realized that it can't be a pure RPG, because Battlefront isn't set up to have random turn-based battles like Final Fantasy. As such, I'll be including elements from platform games, as well. (E.g. the first objective is going to be hopping from moving stones to moving stones, like in a Mario level or Zelda dungeon.)
I'm also thinking about adding in some Al Bhed. (
Final Fantasy Wiki's entry on Al Bhed I don't have a lot of time to work on new skins, so if any up-and-coming skinners (or you more established folks too, lol) feel like taking a shot at making some Al Bhed skins, feel free to try them out (the jed_inf_sith model would work well, I would imagine). Just to throw that out there. I'd love any help I could get.
