The way of a jedi is to take? For me it is a state of being not a symbol next to your avatar.
yeah, i think you get the jedisymbol from 1000 to 1110 posts

a small mathexercise: :P
teancum has been here for 5 years.
maveritchell 4 years.
teancum has been staff for 95% of the time
did teancum become staff before maveritchell did and if he did, for how many years atleast?

solution
Hidden/Spoiler:
because we dont know when maveritchell became staff we will assume that he became staff right after he joined. this way we will find out the minimum period between when they became staff.
-> 5*0,95=4,75
-> 4,75-4=0,75
that means teancum was already staff 0,75 years before maveritchell joined and therefore became staff first
A+, sit down Mr. D.U.C.K. :thumbs:

Two things.

One, I'm not in the habit of googling usernames. DarthD.U.C.K. isn't going to get me anything. How was I supposed to to know "Teancum" wasn't some in-joke or something?

Two, Teancum said "about 95% of the time." One, he said "about," two, it is a very ambiguous phrase. He could have, hypothetically, joined, but not became active for a few months, and had been counting from when he started being active. I also don't really care that much to actually check to see when you guys joined. It was just a "just wondering" question. No need to get snarky and demonstrate how sarcastic you can be. A simple "Teancum joined a year before I did, and became an Admin 3 months before I did," would have sufficed.

I always used to think it was something obscene and he just wasn't willing to admit it.

Post counts don't matter that much, and you'll get it high in due time if you still think it increases your reputation or something.
Have no fear.

i didnt intend to be sarcastic, i just read your question , looked at the joiningdates and recognized that it is pretty easy to answer. then i thought "hey, that totally reminds me of these strange math sory problems!" and because i think it was funny i packed the answer to your question in the style of a mathexercise.
i didnt attempt to insult you by showing the solution for your question. i didnt mean the "exercise" serious, i think its ridiculous to approach the question in such a "proffesional" mathematical style and thats exactly why i did it.
dont take me too seriously :wink:
