Can any msh be a chunk, unit, or vehcile?
I was just wondering, can I easily make a flyable Acclamator by just changing the msh the odf calls for? Or to make the felucia destroyed gunship a chunk used by gunship instead of the front?

In answer to the topic title, yes.

But for vehicle or unit, would it need a set of animations?

No. No unit, vehicle, or anything needs animations.

Right, but it may be deformed, parts may disappear, or otherwise. For example, no anims on a trooper, it will look like it does in the MSH Viewer: arms outstretched, etc. Or, in the case of the Jedi Interceptor, its wing panels will disappear.Maveritchell wrote:No. No unit, vehicle, or anything needs animations.

Incorrect for unit... It would read from the stock human animations, but if those were gone, than yes.

It's not going to be deformed. It will be in its basepose. Without an animationset given, (essentially) any model will look like it does in the XSI window.Null_1138 wrote:Right, but it may be deformed, parts may disappear, or otherwise. If I change the msh of a stock gunship to the coruscant prop gunship, then will the collision be the same as the prop gunship?

Yes, the collision is a part of the model itself, not any odf property.

But will the points where the lasers you fire come out of be the same?

No, unless it has the exact same firepoints setup it won't, if it doesn't just change them to use the correct ones (if there are any that is, if there aren't you need to place them in XSI).
