lol im kinda cheating with all the colors ... im just changing the hue of the awing in the picture at the moment
Il have to hex edit my own model to make all different colored mesh's (should be faster than reskinning it 3 times

Yeah, I saw how you did that, but amazing nevertheless. Looking great! Will the spacestations be bases or just destructable things? Just curious.

Theyl be just destructable . You cant go in them .........this is due to the playable space issue.
At the moment there are 3 of them ..........come to think of it i MIGHT make 1 of them boardable ...but it would only be a small area in which you could fight on .... maybe a platform with a bubble shield over it added onto it.

ahhhhhh! if you had read thro other 2 threads you will know

.
basically, there are 3 spawn paths for the rebels ...all inside the mon cali hangar ... when 1 space station is destroyed the rebs lose a spawn path (that doesnt really affect the rebs) ...BUT once all 3 are destroyed the rebs have no spawn paths left....therefore losing. The rebs will ahve a larger reinforcement count but they have to wipe out the imps to win ..while defending the stations.
There are no CP's to capture .... this is a new type of gameplay - attack / defend

This map is looking better all the time. Love the A-Wings! I really like how you're setting up the objectives. I hope you can get the AI to play it like that.

@Nimlot Is there some sort of limit(due to a glitch?) to how many pages a thread can have? There must be.
That might deserve an announcement thread, to explain people not to be the umpteenth poster or something.
Nimlot's Response: Kinda, we're not sure why its happening for sure, but threads are getting corrupted, and it usually is happening in the larger threads. When a thread does get corrupted, we have to manually split it and lock the old one so it can still be viewed.
Guru said : i think all of these stemmed from one days site webspace being full since gt was at the 5 gig max. I enlarged it and it shouldnt show up again. master nimlot will be in charge of splitting topics otherwise until I find another reason for them, but as of this post. I dont see any with corruption.

Ok , Iv added a bigger space station that allows you to land on and fight on the platform or inside . dont expect hallways or different rooms etc .. (expect that for my bf2 maps

) .. its just 1 room ,which looks as tho its gonna be some kind of reactor.
Still gotta decide how this is gonna be implemented into the game ...could be a cp or a reactor that once destroyed turns off the shields of the 3 space stations .
progress is pretty good after that setback.

A look at the Reactor station (the big 1) ... iv textured inside ...now im to finish texturing the outside.
the red 'bubbles' are shields .

Based on the fact that starship shields in other games, and in movies, are invisible and their collision surface matches the surface of the vessel, I suggest you switch to the droideka shield with no fx. I think it isn't actually a sphere, but am not sure. The only reason a projection shield like that is ever used is to cover an area, not just protect an objecct.
