So a few months ago I pressed the undo shortcut, but hit the wrong keys, and ever since, this weird box-corner-outline has always appeared around my mouse. also, the translations all try to snap to points, and (this is super annoying) the arrows/circles for the translations disappears. So I uninstalled and reinstalled, and only one thing happened: Undo no longer works. Yes, I'm serious.

You can imagine my frustration. Any ideas? Need screenies?

Under File select preferences, click on the General Tab you should see something that says Number of Undo levels increase this to what you think you need.
While in Preferences you may also want to check Interaction Property Editors/Views and make sure that the Popup Properties Upon Node Creation and make sure it is checked that is another thing that accidentally gets turned off.
