its possible, somebody did it years ago with the dc-15 and lukes anim

hey cool didnt know that...are there any threads about it or examples for the .odfs and so one? couldnt find any with the searchfunction

look for odfs of swords etc. if you want it to be a real meeleweapon with combo (like any sword the rifle is essencially a lighsaber with invisible blade)
if you want it to be one simple attack, use the odf for the punch but with the rifle as weaponmodel

well i guess both options imply the weapon using the first weaponchannel which makes the change from melee/bashing to shooting a littlebit harder and not as "fluent" as id like it to be...but i think im happy enough being able to bash at all:P
