Hello, I am a new member with some modelling experience. I just downloaded the XSI mod tool and I am looking for some basic tutorials however the ones in the sticky do not pertain to what I seek or are dead links. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Exactly which tutorials did you try to get? The XSI101 and XSI Howto tutorials are both still active, and both very pertinent to a new learner. Specifically, there are some good ones on 3DBuzz, which XSI 101 links to.

Plus, experience is the best teacher. Just start playing around with XSI.

there's one of two things you could do right now
1.)read the XSI tutorials
2.)figure it out yourself.

Even if thats not the one your looking for, its a nice one.

Yeah, as Mini' said head over to xsibase. You may also want to check out digitaltutors.com. They have loads of training kits for xsi and the ones i have tried are very good and helpful.
