Indeed, I don't see what's new about it. Could you elaborate? Or is the weapon what's going to be new?

Just look like a new skin. But that doesn't make it bad.

I think I have seen this unit before however it looks pretty good.....To make people bug off, you could proabbobly give him a different colored helmet....

Mostlikely bad map scale values. He needs to add the map scale function to .msh.option and rescale it properly for the parts to line up better. Rescales can make parts float oddly on the skeleton- notice how the arms are slightly below the shoulders.
As for changing a gun model modify the following commandlines in the weapon odf (not the ord or exp)
GeometryName = ""
HighResGeometry= ""
The first one is the 3rd person model view and the second is the 1st person view. For weapons with out a 1st person model use the regular 3rd person model.
IG-88 has been done many times in both SWBF1 and SWBF2.
Download the SWBF2_Modtools for access to SWBF2 character models to use. Just drop the models in the MSH folder and call them using the geometry commands in the odf.
Models and stuff from SWBF2 that DO NOT WORK in SWBF1
General Grievous- Four armed skeleton is unuseable
Cloth Msh- Do not attach the command skirts to any clones it will crash SWBF1
Acklay-cannot use the acklay skeleton
Wampa- cannot use the wampa skeleton
Jedi Animations- Impossible to add or use new skeletons and anims from SWBF2.
Republic Commando Source Files Notes for SWBF1
The Republic Commando from the source Majin Released on SWBFFiles is useable except for lowres. To remedy this I reskined a Ep3 Jet trooper using parts of the Commando skins- both black and grey are available- this is only a temp solution for the SWBF1 lowres issues.
I have the skins which are unreleased (its just and ok looking thing) so if you want them ask me but I get no credit as the parts used were done by the original creators of the commando.
If you attempt to use the regular model as the lowres you get unassigned polygons that puddle at your feet.
EDIT: I have a better version of the Red Arc Captain- I recolored the blue one so the Forearm armor has the "tech" stuff. PM if you want it.
I also have a Airborne Arc in the works- Ep3 Airborne Sniper Reskinned with ARC colors (no command skirt cause of cloth issues but I made a SWBF2 version too).
Plus a Blue LT Jet Trooper and an ARC Pilot (still needs the bat symbol on the helmet, havent found a good one yet).
