Problem is the only snow trooper model is in Star Wars battlefront 2 ea and GameToast prohibits models from Star Wars battlefront 2 ea.

For now ... looks like until one is made I’ll be using the default first order troopers ... even if one isn’t made the standards troopers work just fine.

Really? Look at the Snow Trooper that Delta-1035 made/used in his GCW II mod: A re-textured Navy Commando model originally by CodaRez. Works just great. Just because you have the option to use ported models now more than ever before doesn't mean you don't have to be creative.

I was considering this idea as well guys - I would probably improve the textures to make them more actuate.
I know I2bros is doing a lot of first order models so I might hold out and see if he will make one ! BUT if it comes time for the alphas and he hasen't Ill just do what Delta Did
and for those of you who don't know what that looks like you can see he did a very good job !!!

whats holding me back is that I am working on multiply maps at once. So it looks like the plan is to release the alpha for - Crait , Kashyyyk , AND Mos Eisley all at once !
I'm working on tunnel models for Crait as well as getting footage of the layout so that the tunnels are accurate. For kashyyyk I am working on adding ships, lots of cool stuff, fixing the things you all have told me about, as well as making a model for the interior of the Republic cruiser.
For Mos Eisley I'm working on finalizing the object placement, adding civilians and programming the events (The units are just about complete on that map the pictures above are not accurate )
ONLY KASHYYYK WILL LAUNCH WITH CONQUEST MODE - Why ? Because I want to make sure I do it right BEFORE I use development time to implement it into mos eisley and crait !
Releasing all of these at once will not only make a statement like : "hey, someone is recreating EA's maps in battlefront 2 2005" but it also keeps me motivated and I'm not doing the same map every day. And there is always the POSSIBILITY (No matter how small it maybe) that EA will tell me to stop so I want to give you all 4 maps IF that were to be the case instead of 1 !
As most of you know I gave this map to Cyberctf346 so that he can make his own "movie based" version and from that the munged the files I gave them and made them public ... Knew it was a possibility and I'm not offended or anything. so If you are interested in playing one of my builds for crait go ahead and download the he munged here :

I’m sorry. Everyone wanted the map. I was working on Ea/movie version. I saw your comment and I stopped devolopment on it entirely. I’m wasn’t trying to offend anyone. I was accually having a hard time munging the map I created. You crait looks good and Have a good day/night. Sorry!

I’m so sorry. I was working on the map though. Everyone was stressing me and It wouldn’t munge my stupid map. I literally created a account to say I’m sorry and I regret it. I canceled devolopment on the map to show everyone I’m sorry.

@Lorul1 Cyber gave me the Crait map assets a while back. May I use them in my mod: Resistance VS First Order? I will give you full credit of course since you made the map.

I cant excaataly find the quote but In the beggining I recall myself saying along the lines of
I know sometimes the work of bigger modders can overshadow smaller modders so I want to do my best to help those guys out
This news that cyber has deleted his moddb account and stopped production upsets me - and was NEVER my intention.
When I gave cyber my files I knew there was a possibility that he could munge my work and hand out my progress to people AND I WAS OKAY WITH THAT , which is why I gave him my files.
My map was so early on in those days that I knew i could help him out by giving him a strong starting point.

The more and more I think about it there are probably more then 2 of us who want to recreate ... Crait ... I believe in fair creativity for everyone and I don't want anyone to feel bad.
This was my view point from the beginning. Pandemic gave US these mod tools so that our starwars battles can come to life. We (The GT community) are all in this together and I want help others as well as see and enjoy the ideas of others as well !
If you have decided to give up on making Crait cyber, DON'T try to say it is because you think I'm angry or because "everyone is ashamed of you" because we are not. We want to see you succeed buddy
There are people on this site that can help you munge your map without it messing up if you wish to continue
My crait map WILL continue to be made, this is upsetting but I will not by any means consume myself with this. If cyber is giving up his map it's because HE is CHOOSING to give it up. I think that I've been pretty fair , and stressed that i am not upset. Sooooo yeah !

Ok, First off let me say you a great guy. Your encouraging and inspiring. Second off, I did not mean to munge that file. I have looked up so many tutorials on munging even from Jedimoose and those didn’t even work. I think those words have made me decide to activate my acount again. I wasn’t planning on leaving modding behind at all. I was just taking a break. I was actually considering quoting crait all together. First of all what folder do you save the map files in to munge it. I have been working on a EA/movie mix but can’t figure it out. I’m sorry that happened lorul1 and it won’t happen again. You will be the first person I give tests to! Thanks!

This is what happened :
I gave Cyber an early build of my Crait map so that he could make a movie based map.
A few days after I gave it to him he munged it and distributed a playable demo (the one you were talking about huscarl)
I posted comments saying that "the demo was my work but I'm not angry or anything".
Cyber thought I WAS angry and that everyone was disappointed so he shut everything down .
I told him that no one was angry at him and if he wants to shut everything down don't do it because he thinks everyone is angry at him.
Now he is continuing his movie based Crait and it will be pretty awesome !

Any new pics of any of the maps. I’m sorry but I’m honestly hyped for any map from you. I honestly was impressed with the new battlefront 2. It does have things that need to be improved but I love the gameplay itself. (Especially galactic assault.) good luck and I’m excited to see how this will turn out!

Those hills that your in love with are not mine ... ummm i believe they belong to sereja, my friend.
As for lighting ... I will sadly need to put the objects I have through softimage first because Sereja made them for BF1 and they are missing lowrez models ... IT WILL BE PAINFUL AND TEDIOUS BUT the show must go on.
The reason why I'm worried about the objects first before the lighting and sky, dust, civilians, etc - is because it is just the order that I have decided to make my BF2 2017 maps in :
1. Object Placement/slight unit tweeks
2. Pretty up the map
3. Program the events
The reason why I use this non traditional process is because It helps my maps to look good really quickly and come out quickly for people to test as well , EA will soon know about this project and getting it to as many people as possible for me is important.

If EA does find out considering the bad standing they have with community it may not be a good idea to shut it down. Also if you need any help with the trench placement i found this video

These maps are 'inspired by' as opposed to a direct remake. I would only really worry if you were directly using assets from EA's game, which you aren't.
Think of it this way: Galactic Assault is not as unique as EA might think. SWBF2's Hoth campaign map is pretty much Galactic Assault: escort the walkers to the shield generators, then invade the base, then stop the Rebels from escaping in their transports.
