Well my good sir, or duck, You would be correct.
Here is his model;
Look, I made one too! [/sarcasm];
In case your wondering, the real author is JJ Palomo, and the model is available
here if any admins would like to download to confirm it.
Actually the models are quite different, look at the detail on the side rounded parts, the extra little ridge runs farther down than on the one you posted. There are also differences on the bridge of the nose.
The original model posted was created using sub-d modelling that is why it looks as high poly as it does. At this point in time I don't think it can be said one way or the other as to the origin of the model.

They look identical to me, the only difference is that the upper image is quads while the lower one is triangulated. If you superimpose the two images you will see how the edge loops line up. The upper one might look like it has more detail because you can see through it since it's in wireframe.
At this point it's obvious that he didn't make any of it and therefore it shouldn't have been showcased here to begin with, this isn't the first case of him posting this kind of stuff on Gametoast so i'll let the Administrators deal with him or else i'll just remove all relevant posts from this topic so we can get on with our lives.

you dont have to use XSI, i dont, I use Blender, its 10x easier than XSI, yet still better than sketchup.
Me, good enough to use XSI, dont make me laugh good sir

Upon further review and curiosity (and because I was fooled but the way things actually curved) I did this comparison of the model indicated by RK and the picture submitted. It is a rotoscope overlay (I reversed the colors of the picture to make it easier to see on the overlay other than that nothing else has been done to the picture) which should answer the question conclusively.

Well this is the first model I have displayed here on Gametoast.
It has all custom made textures, and stands about twentyfour or more feet high. Now its still going through changes (more like editing it so it runs) and it has not been tested in game yet...
Heres a pic while it was running through an animation I added for the turning affect...
I know we require a wire frame pic so of course I came prepared...
Allright thats what I have got for now, and I hope to create more models for a Urban Styled map.

Slightly improved poly flow. UV's added using stock alliance rifle, sniper, and pistol textures, as well as stock republic sniper rifle.

Wow, it seems near unrecognizable as a stock texture mash-up, it looks unique. Nice UV once again
The only qualm I have is, you aren't planning to have the modder load ALL those textures in, right? Are u gonna take the needed UV parts and make it as a single .tga?

all but the rep sniperrifle tga are already used by my other recent alliance weapons, so I don't think I will. loading a remapped tga or the rep tga would be the same extra stuff.
Thanks all for compliments.
There is one model detail I have left out so far. There's some kind of weird looking lever thingy on the side, not sure what it's supposed to be or exactly how to model it...

@epifire
That looks great I am glad you decided to make it animated, it has animate me written all over it.
Small update to the ATPT, added details and change legs up a bit so they would animate properly. As well I have a bad habit of wanting things to work properly mechanically even though iit is only a model and I can make it do anything I want. Curse this realism thing.

Old version

Yes good updates on that one. I figure from the looks of it, you ajusted some peices so that it would conform to a proper walking motion. And as I would suggest, if your not in a rush to put that in a mod I would keep tweaking it to perfection.
Great job man keep up the good work.

Fun little animation that probably won't make it into the game unless I can find a way to do a second idle animation.
Fraps squished it a bit, dumb wide screen.
