Increasing grid size? [Ignored]

I searched this on both GT and the XSI guides, and I even tried to fool with it myself, but nothing worked. Is there a way to increase the grid size on XSI? I think my model's going to be a bit bigger than the grid, and whenever I go out of the grid, the view gets all messed up.

How do you mean your view gets messed up and can you show us a screenshot of what it looks like when it's messed up?

How are you navigating around in your scene?
  • I'm asking this because I want to know if you're using the Pan and Zoom Tool(Z key) to navigate or if you're using the correct tool which is the Navigation Tool(S key) which can zoom, pan and rotate around your scene effectively without moving the camera and causing distortion.
    • To fix the distortion select the problematic viewport and press R to reset the camera and don't use the Pan and Zoom Tool to navigate around your scene, use the Navigation Tool instead.
Is part of your model disappearing?
  • I'm asking this because it is relevant to clipping plane distance in the viewport which can be changed in the viewport camera properties.

I believe he means the view gets warped

Happens easily when u space out of the grid (heck, even the grid itself will get warped)

Lol, thats something REAL big then.(you making a planet or soemthin?)
