i think the skin is far too dark you cant see any material or shading definition anymore.

You should always try to keep the contrast down some, so that you can still see the edges and detail. In truth, the darkest a skin should ever be is dark grey, not full on black.

That being said, its not too bad.

you should try colorizing it instead of painting too

Ok, since I have disappointed Fiodis with a simple colorize skin job (I'm joking ); now I show you a skin that is more complex and that I'm pretty proud of it:
