I know I'm bringing back an old topic but oh well. I know that you weren't going to release this until those two mods were out but then I see it in Majins map and i'm thinking that it got released, so my question is...has it been released yet? Since there hasn't been any updates or interest for almost a month I was just wondering

The carbine was allowed in Majin's map as a special deal between myself and him, I will probably release it to the public soon as I see no reason to continue to with-hold it from you folks

Yes but that is an illustrated version which is never actually seen in the movies, the comic book version looks more like the SWBF pistol, that illustration looks like it's somewhere between the cartoon version and the comic version.

Fortunately (or unfortunately depends how you see it) PANDEMIC has canonized the SWBF pistol as the DC-17 Hand Repeater. Just like they canonizedthe sniper rifle, the shotguns, and the rocket launchers.

PANDEMIC had to fill in slots for weapon classes. They had to create and make up stuff a lot for the sake of the game. They were not pressed to make it realistic, they were pressed to make it fun/balanced/ and 'cool'

They obviously succeeded as we are all here modding and arguing over a game we love that they made from scratch.

We all know they recycled a LOT of models, but hey, I know I wouldn't want to remodel more droids when the ones we got are awsome already... They beefed up the rebel alliance and the EP3 clones, but as far as i can tell the IMP side and the CIS look exactly the same with better bumpmaps.

Lets end this arguement that is taking my thread towards lockdown.

What the... Ok, guys...That IS the DC-17 HRB. Watch the animated films that came out on Cartoon Network sometimes...

(not sure what the default rep. pistol is, think it's the DC-15 Blaster, but the Jet trooper Pistol is the DC-17p)

Yeah, the cartoon version is exactly the same minus the little end bump.
