Yep, that's right, that means that the ending of TFU was entirely pointless.

LucasArts must assume that all fans, or at least the majority of them, is pretty dumb. I feel the same way as above.

I don't see what the big deal about cloning. Yes, it's been done before. There are a lot of plot devices in multiple series that have been done over and over and over again. Like supervillains breaking out of jail for the sequel. Or a princess getting captured. Cloning just happens to be Lucas' (and other Star Wars writers) failsafe for an interesting plot twist. In fact, let's just leave Lucas out of this and blame the EU writers.

Well, it's not like conventional cloning, is it? Marek will retain his original self's memories.

At least now we know why Vader was berating him in the trailer.

Here is my guess: he's a direct copy of the original Galen Marek, with no memories (maybe fake memories?) and programmed to be more obedient. Eventually he will start remembering who he was through the Force.

@Twilight_Warrior: I could go on a rant about how this whole plot device ruins the "drama" in the original game, about how this makes his sacrifices entirely pointless and resets the story to the beginning of the first game, and say that throwing the same thing again and again at the player is not clever, but tiresome... I won't do that, though, simply because this is a mindless hack 'n' slash game and it's a waste of time to analyze it. I wish I could judge it as a proper game, without having to resort to stereotypes, but alas I can't. Lucasarts treats it as such, so I will have to do the same.

So bring forth the clones! Let's go! Let's hack 'n' slash this stuff. :maulsaber:

Maybe you will but I'm not sure about myself. I wasn't really impressed with the gameplay in TFU. It was cool for a little while but then it was just another game I never touched again.

Anyway, that's a pretty pointless mystery -- we already know the truth. Unless the clones thing is supposed to be the big revelation. In that case, I stand by what I said before: terrible plot device.

Edit: removed the spoiler tags, I noticed that I had said "clones" before, so it was pointless to hide it.

Let's hope there's an online dueling mode (similar to the Wii). I wouldn't mind taking on friends online.

No, but if his real memories come back, then he may think that his memories of clonehood weren't actually what they were and he may believe Kota.

Hmm... what a great date to pick, LA, almost a couple months after Halo Reach gets released. I wonder how many people will buy Reach and TFU2 and which game is gonna be played more (I'm betting Reach).

I know I'm gonna buy both.

I saw those the other day when I was looking for the game on Amazon. The last pic looks like the planet Bespin with its orangish-colored sky but let's hope its not that planet again. I only read a couple nit bits of the article and it mentioned something about the TFU 2 demo... is it still out?
