I didn't play SWBFII online until late 2006 and I've always wondered if LucasArts/Pandemic hosted official servers at all or if they just left it in the hands of the gamers right off of the bat? Is there anyone here who has played online since release that would know?
EDIT
Sorry to bump this, but does anyone have an answer?

If nobody said he had the answer, then the answer is surely no.
So I know the answer because no one , even me, knows the answer.

Re: Official Servers?
As far as I knew Lucas Arts never hosted any servers, and Pandemic didn't do that kind of stuff anyway.

Re: Official Servers?
GameSpy hosted a few servers for a couple weeks until clans got them. The server names were always the mode names so they would be called "Conquest" and "CTF". They also hosted servers during the beta release. Of course the servers were very buggy and crashed a lot because there were no good server hosting tools out yet.
