Re: zero editor problem (unsolved)
Whenever my Zero Editor goes wrong I restart my computer and it works again.
If you have and it didn't then maybe you should try re-installing.

This may sound stupid, but you're pressing the right keys correct? So even the arrow keys do nothing?

In ZE they have buttons on the window. I think "gui buttons" was supposed to be "guide buttons" and I think he said that these were the ones that weren't working.

Well check it out and see if the shortcut keys work. It could be a nonresponsive problem based on a certain map in ZE.

GUI, pronounced "gooey," stands for graphical user interface, and he did indeed mean what he wrote. And it wouldn't be a map based problem since he hasn't loaded one in ZE yet.
So you said that you loaded ZE from inside data_ABC (where ABC is your three letter map name). To confirm that it isn't working, press the LOAD button in the upper left had corner, navigate to data_ABC\Worlds\ABC\world1 and open up ABC.wld. You should now have the world loaded, if you can still only see a gray screen, I'd say something either installed wrong (a long shot) or that your graphics card can't render the scene (though if this were the case, ZE probably would just not have opened). All in all, I think that you probably missed something small and that ZE should work fine for you.

Re: zero editor problem (unsolved)
It could be related to whether you have the window maximized. I've noticed when I maximize ZE the visual of the cursor is offset from where it really is. I would have to click to the left and above a button in order to click that button, and as I moved in a certain direction, the distance the cursor was offset would increase or decrease. Open config.ini, which is in the same directory, and try setting maximizeWindow to 0, if it's not already.
