Of course, I understand that. For intensive purposes, the boss you fight will be randomly determined. The toughest one is Big Red, and he has his weakspots.

There will be explosive barrels, yes. But not exclusively to be used only against bosses, they serve many purposes.

I just believe creating a challenge such as this is a requirement for those of us who like to challenge themselves ;]

He is nicknamed "Big Red", and will be one of several random bosses that I will be placing into critical spots of the waves.

Take a good look at him.
That thing is creepy! Haven't checked this out for a while, from what I've seen the zombies look awesome.

Now, I said I wouldn't be posting any further screens of Ole' Red.

Doesn't mean I won't provide a video of him.. ;]

But in order for me to do that, I will first need to make other bosses, so as to create more suspense amongst the growing crowds who are watching this thread with anticipation..

I am open to suggestions on what you'd like to see happen with 1 zombie and 1 boss zombie.

I need creative minds to bounce ideas off of, think out of the box and keep it in the theme please ^_^

Jerky. Sinks-into-groundy. Doesn't-seem-too-hard-to-take-down-with-a-teammate's-help-y.

But otherwise quite nice.

Would a zombie shaman be possible? you could have him as a fairly weak unit, but he could summon a mini-horde of zombies, which while they were alive you couldn't hurt him, so you had to hunt them down and kill them. Or maybe they last a certain amount of time, but you can ovveride it by killing them? I don't know.

One last idea: a flying zombie, like a bony bat thing.

Currently I have 3 bosses constructed, and after a few gameplay modifications and wave restructuring..

The results are amazing. I average about 490 kills a playthrough, supposing you got the same zombies I got. So roughly the amount can go over 500 zombies. The most available on screen at once, a rather good amount mind you, is 300. So I advise anyone playing this mode, to kill as many as you can.

The Zombie Bosses consist of the one you know of, plus 2 others.

One boss is aptly named Necrovia, and her main purpose, being the weakest boss, is she summons special forces, 1 unit at a time, to attack you. One of which is capable of spewing toxic gas. This gas will severely cripple anyone who is intoxicated by it, with a minute and a half of constant shaking screen, making it hard to see or fire properly, and a poisonous depletion of your health for the same amount of time.

The other 2 units will remain secret.

The other boss that has a chance of emerging at any boss point, is an undead swordsmen. This ghostly figure is a boss version of the new Skeletal Grave Warrior, which I made to replace one inferior zombie.

The boss will be a menace to fight at melee range, unless you have the chainsaw. So staying back and laying fire on him is key. But if you should see this boss kneeling.. STAY BACK. His kneel posture will damage and send anyone who approachs close enough, flying back.

Also, every other wave, an upgrade will come to your survivors. Improved health and "armour" will be issued at key times to your characters, but you must access a cp and reselect your character to put it on.
