ZE Won't Work [Solved]

Post by Fierfek »

Wanted to play around with modding again for fun, so I installed the modtools on my laptop (Win8). I tried running ZE, and I got the runtime error. I used 3DAnalyze with "force SW tnl", but that didn't fix it. I went to the ZE program and set it to run as admin, and that got rid of the runtime error - but ZE still won't work, now it has an error saying "error while injecting dll into target process".

Anyone know what's going on? I tried searching the forum, but the main solution is the 3DAnalyze thing I already tried.

EDIT: to prove how long it's been since I've done this, I posted this in "SWBF2 General" at first. Derp.

It's the Asus Vivobook - Win8, Intel Core i3-3217U 1.80 GHz, Intel HD Graphics 4000 with shared graphics memory. http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msu ... .257476600

EDIT: Btw, my last laptop ran ZE fine, and this laptop generally can run more demanding programs than that one (mostly video games with higher requirements).

Windows 8? Lol yuck, but that's probably the issue.

No promises, but when I set up my Win8 PC, I tried both of those things and had the same issue. I got (and get) it to work now by simply choosing "run as adminstrator" from the right-click context menu (note the difference between setting it to always run as admin through the properties menu).

I thought I'd tried that, but I just tried it and it works now. So I guess I hadn't tried it earlier :P Thanks!
