1) Fully functional E-Webs.
2) Remote mines/thermal detonators that can be placed anywhere. After setting all of them, the player right clicks once more to set them all off.
3) Heavy repeater unit. Powerful, but very slow reload time and an overall slow unit.
4) More buildings designed for snipering and rocketing. For example, many of the Rhen Var buildings.
5) No camo troops in "modern" maps. For example, Bespin, Naboo, Death Star.
6) All the droids work underwater (except for droidekas) but cannot fire their weapons.
7) SPHATs, AT-PTs (just like the ones in Rogue Squadron, Dwarf Spider Droids as AI-only units, B-Wings, A-Wings, Republic V-Wings, Ground transports, Corporate Alliance Tanks, and more rebel vehicles.
8 ) Worlds that have only been mentioned in the movies.
9) A medical unit.
10) A different skin for rebel and clone pilots when there are no vehicles on the map.
11) Replace the Dark Trooper with the Imperial Officer on indoor maps.
12) Change Scout Troopers to a different skin on indoor maps. Scouts just look odd inside a building.
13) More defense-oriented maps. Gotta love'm.
14) A special unit for rebels or droids that has the option to blow themself up.
15) An astromech droid that goes around repairing damaged droids and turrets.
16) Maybe a Planetary Bonus in Galactic Conquest that let's you recruit mercenary allies.
17) Neutral locals that inhabit urban maps and run from the battle. If you kill one than you lose a kill point.
18 ) This is an idea to make the game more realistic- On multiplayer, if one team is completely dominating the other and has most of the CPs or the losing team has lost all of their CPs, the winning team has the ability to demand a surrender. On the winning team's screen it will show this:
DEMAND A SURRENDER?
YES NO
The players will vote to decide whether or not they should ask the other team to surrender. If the majority of the votes is for YES, then this will show up on the losing team's screen:
SURRENDER?
YES NO
As a team, the faction will vote to decide the answer. Depending on which answer gets the majority, it will say something like:
THE REPUBLIC REFUSED TO SURRENDER
or
THE REPUBLIC SURRENDERED
The message will show up where the kills are displayed (bottom right of screen).
Also, the losing team can have the ability to surrender on their own without being forced. The players will vote to decide if they should ask:
SURRENDER?
YES NO
If the team votes YES, the winning team will then have this appear on their screen:
ACCEPT THE ENEMY'S SURRENDER?
YES NO
If the team chooses no, than it's a fight to the death for the losers. However, if the enemy accepts the surrender, they will have instant victory:
THE CIS ACCEPTED THE REPUBLIC'S SURRENDER
Then briefly afterwards: VICTORY/DEFEAT
19) To go along with orbital strike, a unit can use a bombing run. The player sends out a typical scout droid, that then pinpoints a location. After choosing to signal a bombing run, a green bar will slowly go up until it reaches the top. Whatever area the droid covered while this bar moved, will be struck by the bombing run. To alert other players of a bombing run, there are loud ship engines that are heard through the sky. Imagine hearing the screeching engine of TIE Bombers for a quick moment, and then watching an entire area be decimated by bombs.
20) Perhaps the ability to lock or close doors. For example, in Echo Base if the Empire has you pinned down outside you can retreat to the hangar. Then, a player can go over to the panel that controls the hangar doors and have them shut. The Empire will then have to destroy the doors, similiar to blowing up a health or ammo droid. This would make the game more realistic and entertaining in my opinion.
I can imagine rebels locking themselves up in a room aboard the Tantive IV. Outside you can hear the Empire firing at the door. You look at the door's health bar and it's nearly empty. You and your teammates prepare for the worst. Suddenly the door explodes and stormtroopers come rushing in. You hold your position until the end...
Anyway those are the only ideas I can come up with now. I think that being able to pick up weapons would ruin the point of having different classes. Just my opinion though. I'm looking forward to BF2 and if I have any other ideas I'll jump right back here!
