How do you get such perfect heads for your new skin. (example: Image
How did the maker make such a good head? Is there a trick.

Uh... what? You just recolor, copy-and-paste-over, or otherwise edit the head on a preexisting skin. What exactly are you asking?

That's just the Bothan model with a new skin on the face. As far as lining things up, well that's just someone having a lot of experience with Photoshop.

He changed the model of the Sharpshooter to a Bothan

And just so you know, that kind of question irks modders and skinners to no end.
All the creator did was...
copy-and-paste-over, or otherwise edit the head on a preexisting skin.

Yup, you can copy paste and line up the parts. Or use the painting tools and the skin as a guide and redo the entire face.

Which is what I did, and by the way, its far from perfect and from being done at the moment. :D

To do details from scratch you need art experience and experience with the program you're using. Experimentation helps.

No, VF uses GIMP as well.

It just takes practice. You have to get experienced with the program you wish to use as well as have a general knowledge of image editing.

There are tutorials all over the Internet, just search 'GIMP tutorials' and you should find a lot of stuff regarding how to use GIMP properly, and in doing so, learn how to make a good skin.
