Hey guys! Ok i have the XSI modtools and i want to import the rebel vanguard so i can make "some changes" to him. NOw i followed Murdocr's instructions on how to get a msh into obj format. When i load XSI modtools and go to file, import, obj I kind of get stuck there. I tryed some things out but the model never loads. ANyone have a clue on how to fix this or get it working?
Thanks in Advance!

The model comes out scaled wrong, with inverted polies, and way (and I mean wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyy off center). Select the model throught the explorer, and zoom out until you see it, and manually move it to the center.

Check the .obj file that you're importing (open it up in notepad, to see if it actually has any data in it.
Also, does anything new appear in the explorer view when you import an .obj file?

Yes a bunch of stuff appear in the notepad. Ummm...by explorer view do you mean the window that pops up with load up? Wait that's netview. So then I don't know what explorer view is/does/where it is.

open the obj and press "A" (shows everything on the scene) It could be that mod tools doesnt allow you to import obj tho. Not sure.

I think so. Why else would the modtools have obj under Import?
EDIT: here's a pic of the import subsection.

Also i loaded the obj and pressed "A" and nothing happened.

To get explorer view, in a view window, choose explorer from the drop-down menu. (the one where you can choose ledt, right, etc.)

or you could just hit 8 and open the explorer in its own window, but you might as well leave this alone, .msh was MEANT to not be reverse compiled, the format only goes 1 way.
