Updated version of my Jupiter diamond mining/research facility. I cleaned up the polygons to all have only three or four edges each and did some cleaning up with the platform that's currently covered.

There's still a lot of vertex's that can be removed.

There are a few that be removed, but nonetheless it looks pretty good for a WIP. Keep it up.
@Tears2Roses: Good job so far. :)

No, there really aren't, believe it or not. Every one of those edges that looks like is doing nothing is actually making it so no polygon has over 4 edges.

Hey man just trying to help out, I say in total niceness but I bet I can make the same thing but have close to half the vertex count. You really can reduce it a lot and it will all still be in quads, being in quads doesn't mean having perfect 90 degree angles, I think that's where you are getting confused. Having triangles isn't a big deal either since the exporter triangulates the model once it is in .msh format.

Ah. I understand your point of view and your intent to help, I just don't usually ever work with triangles and I'm still pretty new to modeling, but luckily I have Softimage 2012! :D

And a sniper rifle based on it.

This one has a slightly newer version of the rear stock. Both models use the same one.

^Click on where you change the display from like wireframe to shaded, etc and check headlight and wireframe on shaded so we can see more detail.

You should go through and add some edges so that there aren't any polygons with more than 4 sides then decide where you want to have hard edges and add some since it is a rigid object.

thats a pretty unique shipdesign. reminds me a little of the trando dropship
there are some unneeded edges on flat sides of the clyinders, the engines could be a bit rounder and espcially for texturing ist better when you dont have big intersecting chunks but its already much better than similar models you made bfore!

A "little" something I have been working on for a while. It is using the textures from X-Wing Alliance just for effect, imao there are too low res to use in game and I will hopefully be able to make some better ones.
