I'm having trouble installing v1.3 (I'm using Windows 7).

When I run the menu.bat file I get the access is denied message while it tries to install each file. So I assumed I have extracted the files correctly to the addon folder and AAA-v1.3patch folders, etc. Fine. I read the readme and saw your advice to run the menu.bat file as an administrator. When I do it says it runs into the security check and that I haven't extracted it correctly (something isn't panning out, it is now having trouble locating something). But if I run the menu.bat AGAIN (without right-clicking and selecting 'run as administrator) it wants to install files but can't because of access is denied...

How can that be so? It runs to the install part but can't because of access denied but when I give my command prompt (for menu.bat) admin access it says it wasn't extracted correctly. That makes no sense. Anyone know what is going on?

This happened to me, too. Wht I had to d, was I had to right click on my LucasArts folder, then go to Properties. Then under the Security tab, click on Trusted Installer, then Edit. Allow it Full Control of the folder, then click OK. Then run the menu.bat.
I have Windows Vista, but I've been told they're almost the same when it comes to this stuff.

There shouldn't be a menu.bat file at all in the latest revision that being 129; the installer actually supports Windows Vista/7. So get that version instead if you haven't already.

I tried Twilight's suggestion, no luck. Still wouldn't let the menu.bat work properly. :\

AQT (or perhaps someone else that knows), where would I find that r129 version. No luck googling it so far oddly enough.

Can't tell if that is r129, because comparing r117 which is over a 100 megs to the URL I just linked which is less than 20 megs seems like it is lacking files (since it wasn't really compressed) or something...And I need a full version.

There was no reason to both post on the v1.3 topic and create this one, thus this thread gets locked. I'm very busy with school now and no longer watch this site daily, so don't expect fast responses from me.

There is a newer revision of v1.3 that isn't on Filefront. The download link is here: http://zerted.getmyip.com/swbf2/res/SWB ... %20129.exe Pending GWL requests, there will be more development on v1.3 and it will have a final release as v1.4. However, that won't happen until at least near the end of June. If GWL doesn't request any changes, then there may only be another one or two minor changes and I'll put it up on Filefront (again sometime in June). However, feel free to spread around the above link/file to whoever wants it. It does seem to work (its not fully tested) and fixes a few bugs from the past revisions.

With r129, the v1.2 patch isn't included (means it's like the older Lite version). If you want the side changes, install v1.2 before installing v1.3 r129.
