I won't go on about the odd saturation of that icon in the first place, but to be honest nobody has a beef with your skins, labj. People typically post skins in this topic to receive constructive feedback, and if you're not open to people's suggestions, why post it here? (This is a similar remark someone gave me when i posted my first "perfect" skin. if you look back on that "perfect" skin you can easily tell how crappy it is )

honestly, i couldn't have done it better! that's the way realistic skins should be. it is detailed and looks a bit battle worn. i think this is possibly your best skin concerning those that i am aware of.
frakking good job mate!

Well Labj, in GIMP, just go to Filters>Enhance>Sharpen... and play around with the Sharpness meter if you want to achieve the "realistic" look.
