Lighting, And modding.

I tried searching for how to get Godrays to work, but I figured out how to get them going without help anyways. Only to find out the type I got working isn't at all what I want. I'd like to try to create a light fixture of some sort, similiar to the Command post light glow, that affects objects, and place it in ZE like godrays. If I can't do this, what can I do to create that type of light? Or any type of light that affects ingame units (I'm not looking to make a weapon I want a static light)

Could you be a tad more specific? That first part sounds like a ZE omni light but I don't understand what you mean by placing it as a godray. Do you mean like a lamppost but instead of one light four different rays?

I'll look into omni lights I guess. But yeah I just want to place a light that I can modify in a map, but works with shadow regions and such so that when you enter the lighted spot or anything enters it, it's shown as a colour change on them to be brighter, like how a CP works.
-edit-

I really would want to replicate the beaming lights from Endor. Ive been racking my brain trying to figure out how to do those, Ive copied endor's godrays to try that, I've copied the fx to do it, and all I have ended up with is a similiar appearance to Felucia with some odd effects happening with my water at highest settings, and no cool lights from endor (I even copied endor's LGT.)

*sighs* If I could just get something similiar to those lights or find out how their done I'd be super happy.

Have you looked in the docs that game with the modtools? They have a section on lighting, both using odf and using ZE. It might have what you're looking for in there.

I already have yes. And I searched GT using the search function.
