Those yellowish spots are supposed to be Vergere's eyes...just tought it would be cool.... and the galaxy is a real galaxy, but it loos like starwars, so i used it. And i used photoshop 7.0, but im bad at it.. so i cant do much stuff...

PS: Can yo uget on Xfire?

I like the wip banners and ^ ^ that pic but what is the red fire stuff underneath it, if I had to guess it would be the ship going into an atmosphere.

Dread' do you have a pic of a worldship/warship (I can't remember which one it was) that has the tentacle like things that launch the skips and shoot the plasma?

Raingod I am sorry to hear that, my cousin is in the same boat and she is a freshman so it hit her really hard.

its a warship, and thats what the red stuff was, lol.

and there's an even better pic in the updated essential guide to vehicles, unfortunately i dont own that book (i only looked thru it in the store), and i haven't found anyone else's scan of it. if you can find that book in your bookstore, i highly suggest you look thru it (and the new essential guide to weapons/tech, its got some useful vong stuff too). but i seem to recall you said something about your bookstore not having star wars, or njo, or something

and nice work on the skip, keep it up!

PS: you might want to change your location "neutalizing..."?

(spoiler) I am on the next book but the way Wurth Skidder dies is pretty pathetic, they didn't even try to save him : ( and when they "break him" does that mean that he turns to the dark side, or go "sane"?

the banners looking good, if i do say so myself. now i just need to get around to doing the text, i got several ideas but need to make the time to try em out.

when they refer to the vong breaking someone, it's somewhat ambiguous, but it could be joining the vong, betraying the jedi, simply revealing information, draining their spirit (like miko in vector prime) or basically complying with the vongs wishes. i dont think it has much to do with the dark side, because vong are force-less and dont really know about such things. i'm not entirely sure what you mean by "go 'sane'"

If you have read Shatterpoint they refer to Depa as going "sane" in other words, going to the dark side. It's kinda confusing if you haven't read the book.

ah, i have read the book, but i didn't catch your reference. its the same thing tho, the vong don't know enough about the force to be able to figure out how that would help them and how it would work. they just want jedi that'll do their bidding :twisted:

continuing to learn painter, i've been working on a coralskipper based on that pic i posted earlier and my memory of other coralskipper designs. figured i might as well post a wip of it:

still lacks...something...and i don't like the colors all that much...i'll keep at it. once i get painter down, i should be able to get some concept art out quickly, its pretty fast to use. i'm thinking about trying that ithor ca in painter...i should probably finish the banner first tho...sigh...

ah, yes, and trans, don't know if you still need pics of that warship you mentioned earlier, but there are a couple on this japanese cover (bottom right):

The skip needs the cannons and I figured out the Nav bar but it looks like crap w/o buttons, so if you those would be good to have when you get around to it. If you don't already have them then maybe a quick placeholder.

One button that will fit the word "downloads" (the longest one), I should be able to put the text on top so just the button.
