Turning Vehicles into props and turrets

I know there is a tut on how to turn vehicles into props but it really didn't make much sense to me. When I copied a gunship odf along with all tga's and msh's needed and then replaced the complex scripting for a vehicle with the simple scripting for a metal wall I got a mess... It showed a gunship exploded into all its parts that just sort of hung there... IDK what to do to fix it. The other issue I have is just theoretical. Would it be possible to turn an ATTE into a nonmobile turret? Would i just have to delete a part of the ODF or is there more to it?

This metal wall's ClassLabel was
prop, was it not? The tutorial says to change it [the gunship's ClassLabel] to
armedbuilding. Unless you've already done that and have not tested out the in-game results, the gunship would appear "exploded" in ZE but intact in-game. Did you know that there's already gunship prop in the stock assets? It's in the Coruscant world assets.
