They mail you points as 100 points a pop, and it takes 8-12 weeks, but all you have to do is sign up and use Bing. You can redeem up to 30 of these (3,000 points over a period of time), which is the Xbox 360 equivalent of USD $37.50. You can earn 16 points a day by doing 32 searches in Bing (I just search for complete junk to earn points), plus if you click on your points they occasionally have things, which if you click on them give you 16 points per click. Nothing past simply clicking, and you can close that tab right after the points update in your toolbar. All in all I do this for about five minutes a day, then redeem points whenever I have 100. I only installed it on Internet Explorer since this promotion is the only thing I use it for, so it's nice to keep your Firefox/Chrome browsers toolbar-free.

Got my first Bing reward code today. It came via email. I assume that the delay is due to the sheer influx of requests they get, and being a web programmer I can tell you something like this rewards system is TONS cheaper to have real people process then to build an automated system. That being said, turnaround time was much shorter than they said (12 weeks). I submitted it Sept 23 and got it today, 2 1/2 weeks later. That's worth five minutes of my time any day.

*EDIT* - I got three of them today. Sweet. Also I should probably point out that even though it's a Microsoft product, the whole prize thing is outsourced to another company (probably for cost reasons), which might have to do with the waiting.

I gotta say Bing rewards is a pretty good find by you Teancum : ) If only I had permission to use it. With 2000 reward points you can even buy bloody video games lol.

Here's a quick tutorial on how to do this if anyone's worried about it being a scam.

Every few days they give you suggestions to click on to earn 12 points by clicking suggested links. That coupled with up to 16 points per day for 32 searches (I just search for junk). Can get you a decent amount of MS Points. So far I've earned 600 points at 100 points a pop, and you redeem up to 30 MS point codes, equaling 3,000 points total (but must be done by 6/30/2011). See the image below to see where to find the suggested links:
