C-3PO substitute

Pardon me for not being original, but I was going to whip up some movie-based versions of stock maps (I'm using lego star wars for the chapters

I did add some vital components into them though). I am at a complete loss for a C-3PO which I believe is absolutely vital to the existence of such a mod. Do you think I could get away with coloring a magnaguard gold?

Well, to be honest.....not really. I can't think of any model off the top of my head that you could just reskin.

I say magna because his head is the right shape lol. I wasn't asking to be perfect, just if it would be generally accepted as a C-3PO wannabe.

His head is somewhat in the right shape. I think a clone trooper's helmet, extremely reskinned, might be a better shot.
But I haven't watched SW in a while, sort've forgotten what C3PO looks like.

Here is what you could do. Import (using Rep's Meshtool) the magna guard into XSI and edit it so it looks kind of like C3P0. Definetly easier said than done, but that is the only way I could think of doing something like that.

Repsharpshooter pieced together a C3PO model, but I don't think he ever rigged it.

Lol, just wondering. You'd need a lot of new anims for 3po. You couldn't have him standing there with a rifle anim, now could you?

You couldn't have him standing there with a weapon of any sort, could you? He's a translator, really. If Tourny wanted it to be "realistic" he would put 3PO in as a prop, or maybe a peaceful local.

Vader's Anims. he just walks. Remove his weapons and get rid of his attack combo parts. Maybe give him buffs- like bore- or info.

If you wanted a perfect model of 3PO I'm sure there's a perfect one created by some super Sketchupper that you could convert.

As for the bald jedi idea, That would be simple, but the darn model has sleeves. I guess the hardest part would be the issue of the face being stretched and putting the details on under those conditions. I can't export XSI models because I can't get it to export right.

MandeRek rigged Rep's C3p0, improved his uvs and made new anims with him..
