hi i am making a realism mod ofr both space and land and was wondering if there was a way to stop homing weapons following their target if they went out of a forward facing arc?

what i am trying to do is make the missiles/torpedoes more realistic in the way that they cant trck the target if it isnt ahead of them. what your saying to do lowers the manuerverablilty thus reducing the likliness of a hit from any angle.

what your saying can't be done
what i'm saying can be done
if its not ahead of them and they have a low turn rate it won't hit them
if it is yes its less likely to hit but not if they're flying in a fairly straight path
you know the stock torpedoes do this anyway? if you dodge them they won't manage to hit you.

Or just turn your missiles into shells, but they will behave a little odd from your firing point.
