I give my Possessed Human Slayer a gam axe. The axe does no damage. I see nowhere in the odf to add the damage stuff. Help!

you can edit/add the damage with the MaxDamage variable
this variable is most mentioned in the com_weap_yourweapon odf file in the common side

no, hes not talking about that. Its a glitch with the axes that I haven't been able to fix either. I think it may have to do with the way your saber is set up. I'll try and experiment.
