Star Wars Battlefront 2 : Sides Overhaul Mod

Hello modders and mappers, here is Indytotof.

After few reflexion, there is a topic to explain my mod:

First of all, the inspiration of the mod come from for several reasons: Playing the + 123 mod with the Evolved mod (both containing here and here) and a wish to modified the game (for the first time, only for me, but now not only).

So there is the modifications bring by the mod:

- The Emperor as CIS hero on Coruscant;

- Yoda as the Alliance hero on Coruscant;

- Urban units for the rebels on Coruscant and Naboo;

- Asajj Ventress as the CIS hero on Felucia, Kashyyyk and Yavin 4;

- New maps for Grievous: Death Star and Polis Massa (because he can breath outside);

- The Emperor as Empire hero on Mygeeto, Felucia and Utapau (due to the Order 66);

- Darth Vader as Empire hero on Kashyyyk, Yavin 4, Death Star and Polis Massa (because, as Grievous, he can breath outside);

- A total new hero for the Alliance: Ben Kenobi (playable on the Death Star and Polis Massa);

- Rebels units more accurate to the 4th movie on Yavin 4 (Fleet Riffleman, Desert Rocketeer, Pilot engineer, Fleet sniper, regular Bothan officer);

- Ep2 Clones on Yavin 4, Mos Eisley (due to the Clone Wars serie), Polis Massa and Kamino;

- Felucia sniper on Mustafar for the Republic;

- Playable Ep2 Clone commander;

- "Rebel Smuggler" rename as "Rebel Engineer";

- More maps for Dooku: Mustafar and Jabba's Palace;

- New hero for the Republic: Anakin Skywalker (Yavin 4, Mos Eisley, Mustafar and Jabba's Palace);

- New skin for Darth Maul more close to the season 5 of The Clone Wars (modification almost over);

- ATST pilot for the Empire on all the map except on the Death Star, Hoth and Mygeeto;

- Obi-Wan Kenobi now playable on Polis Massa for the Republic;

- Snow troopers for the Alliance and the Empire on Mygeeto;

- Hoth Luke on Mygeeto;

- Pilot Luke now playable on Yavin 4;

- Death Star Reinforcement fix supported in the mod;

- A new officer for the Empire (the regular one is only playable on Hoth and Mygeeto).

To make the mod fully enjoyable, you'll need the Evolved mod (since my mod use it as base) and the v1.3 r129 patch.

There is two little things to fix:

- Darth Maul model to complete (adding a skirt, new animation and a blacksaber);

- A munging problem resuming as these

Code: Select all

/Common was not expecting at this time
(problem solved).

After these two fix, the mod will be complete.

The thing is I use this mod as a base for mine. Right here, I've no idea of replacement.

Looks great I suggest adding the ax-xt as a vehicle replacement for the clones for the ep2 maps. Also adding a republic commando and imperial commando to the republic and empire sides would be a nice touch!

Adding special units only for the Republic and the Empire will unbalanced them (well... the Republic will really need something against the CIS, the most unbalanced side (and I really love the Republic Commando)

I will maybe add the ax-xt in Geonosis, more fire power will be needed for the Republic.

The mod is nearly finished. Here is the final look of TCW Darth Maul (new handle, blade and saber trail color) :

You could add custom units to all sides

Republic _ Republic Commando

Rebels- Rebel Spec Ops

CIS - Commando Droid

Empire - Imperial Commando

Maul looks great mate! Can't wait
