Yup, we got a dilema here.. I think the face of the jk is better.. this also goes for his lowerbody (legs etc.) The assets one has a far better texture i believe... I dunno how jk textures work, but you need a good reskinner, and the jk will be better... The weights are indeed not really done (strange it's not automaticly btw :? , i only had problems with chins and other objects which are strange and uncommon) but we can see also on the torso that the texture is not as detailed as the assets one... Still, maybe you can use both depending on time period and some fancy-clothing reskins depending on location ^^

I still like the original model better. The new ones face looks.... I can't quite put my finger onto it but it looks weird for some reason. More like a troll than a human. It doesn't look realistic. Though yeah, they both don't really look like him :P

And I agree that the pistol should be scaled down a bit (I know it's shipped, but it's just HUGE)

Neither is perfect, but I think that between the two the new one is better. The chest area needs some touch-up work, but other than that it's not too bad.

Either way, the gun certainly needs to be scaled down a lot. I've always thought it looked unnaturally big, especially for a pistol-sized weapon.

This is the rifle I modeled today. I like it better than the gcmod a295. I think the a295 can be the award rifle, and this (a280) can be the default rifle. He's holding it a bit funny, but I don't think it can get any better than that. O and -hiresshadow, I need to put that in there.

But that's about all I can find wrong with this model.

I agree, that should be the default rifle.

Hireshadow, is that using shadow from another model? That would be sweet for starfighters etc... This model is really great! I think it's better than ANY of the assets, trully :)

So it will generate a shadow volume based on the LOD mesh?
That would be sweet, and perhaps fix some of those Shadowvolume problems I get.

I do agree that both han solo models just don't look like the real thing, maybe someone could work on a new model. I would really like to see an improved Han Solo model. Also, I think Princess Leia could be redone too.

Wow--that new rifle model is amazing! Frankly, after this project is finished, there should be no reason for anybody not to use it.

Well, filesize, I guess. But still--the progress here is absolutely astounding. Great work!

As far as Leia goes, I've never had a problem with the shipped Leia model. I think it fits perfectly.
