Hi,

i found some realy nice things about animated textures, when searching how the blinking stock BD2 rifle was made.

But i haven't found a really good tutorial, on how it is made.

So let's say i have a simple board msh with an Texture, showing a house. how can i add a slider moving from left to right and an other one moving from right to left?? (Not over the whole texture, just a part)

Any time you want a specific part of a model to have a unique flag it will need to be a separate cluster.
The post you linked to has all the information you need to set up an animated texture, though the least number of frames you can have is 4. The example image shown in the post has 16 cells/frames and suggests the animation goes from top-left to bottom-right. It sounds like a scrolling texture flag might be better for what you want, but your purpose isn't clear to me without an image etc.

mh ok here a pic of what i really want to do. I thought the thing with the house was easyer to explain.

i want to animate the semitransparent parts. specialy the upper part. so it's not over the whole picture. I have a board where the texture is on. And now i want on the same board an animated part. Is it possible with out adding a new texture with XSI?? So maybe wby an hex edit, adding a new texture on the same model chunk??

It should be two or more animated parts. So one runing from left to right, and one from right to left. If it works all fine and is not that complicated, i maybe also add an animation for the left and right transparent parts.

An other thing is the sniper scope:
