Well, I guess I should explain myself first. Whenever I get a new game, I usually go straight to the campaign. I dunno why, but I just do. After I complete the game, then I go into the instant action thing or whatever its called on that game.

Now I know this is not true for all people, but that's what I wanna know. So post what you do first when you get a new game. I will have a poll up about it.

Then instant action and multiplayer, however Im always getting frustrated because of some freaks killing me all the time and then screaming something like "LOOOOL PWN3D Y0U n00b".
Counter-Strike:Source is the only game im good at (that means my k/d rate is about 0.90-1.10 on non-freak servers).

I always go into Instant Action without a single glance at the controls
It's way more fun to find the controls out for yourself then trying to memorize them for 15 minutes.

Ditto. I own games I still don't know all the controls for.

Lol, only 2 days ago I figured out how to pick up kits in Battlefield Vietnam (had that game for a few months now)

Instant Action. But only to see how high I can crank up the graphics settings. After that I play the campaign through all the way and then I really play instant action.

Now that you mentioned controls....
First minutes of the game I spend changing and studying controls and changing graphic settings.

Instant action. Although if there is a tutorial I usually do it.

Usually, I flip through the manual for a moment, tweak all options, then jump into the campaign. If there's a training level, I tend to play those, too, just in case there's something new that I need to know about. Every once in a while, I'll go to multiplayer first, but I've only done that with maybe two games in the past decade or so.

I usually play the campaign, because the first few levels of that, most of the time, are somewhat tutorial based. Then I go to instant action/online.
